SCA wise, there is very little. I am drumming for some dancers this coming Wed night if all goes well -

I would search outside of the SCA. Call up your local dance studios & tell them you're a drummer looking for some dancers. Check out the North Carolina listings on Shira.net: www.shira.net/dir-us-nmnd...orthCarolina There are a few in Charlotte & the surrounding areas.

Tue, March 3, 2009 - 3:45 PMLeslie, it would be great if you could go. Hafla's are very laid back. No need for any special costuming. Most people wear comfy dance clothes spiffed up a bit. Think girls-night-bellydance-wear. I've never made it to one of M'Chelle's at Bella, but sometimes there are snacks and wine. Being at a studio that may not be allowed. Hopefully some drummers, and just fun relaxed dancing between friends. Just bring yourself and your shimmy.
You'll have to get directions from others, tho! -
